Ive been studying the teachings of Adyashanti and reading his book Resurrecting Jesus. Im intrigued when he speaks of the ego and gives real life examples of how his ego was torn down along with other people along his path. It occurred to me last night after reading the first five chapters that the tragedies and struggles we go through are really Gods way of breaking us down to mere dust in order to build us back up once again. I always knew that there was/is a divine plan and that when we are sent trials and tribulations we would often see a rainbow soon after. In the past, my ego has held me back and quite honestly been exhausting to keep up with. Over the years however my ego walls have been torn down little by little. The problem is I am now recognizing it in others in a big way (also not good). However I am only human and learning every day:) This book is taking me to an even deeper place. A place I need to go in order to graduate to a level of self-confidence and not self-importance!
