Ive been thinking: around this time last year, I was going through a rough patch. I wasnt sure about where I wanted to go, who my friends were and werent, who I was then, and who I wanted to be. There have been many milestones Ive passed since then: getting accepted into my dream college, earning a ton of scholarships, just to name a couple. I have grown up a lot (but still seems like not enough at times), gained so much clarity, and now I know who I am, and who I want to grow up to be. Who knows, maybe Im just one of the lucky, overprivileged kids, but I dont really believe so. I have the greatest best friend anyone could have, my few (but awesome) close friends, a mother and step-father that loves me, wonderful grandparents, a beautiful home, and another beautiful home waiting for me in Savannah. Im thankful that Im not where I used to be. Im thankful that I finally realized how to enjoy the little things and learned to overcome my fears of what the future holds. If youre going through a dark point in your life, stay hopeful. And trust me, because I know; Ive been there. Needless to say, Im definitely not where I used to be, but Im not yet where I am destined to go. Long story short, I am super blessed and am yet to be blessed more abundantly, and you are too. Lifes a garden, dig it.
