Ive been wanting to put this out there for about a week, but Ive been thinking about how to say it. How I need to say it is directly from my heart. Here it goes: My life is at a place I never expected. Thats a good thing. Its what I need and Im happy. Things arent always easy, but just because something is hard doesnt mean you give up. Some people have walked out of my life, while dozens more have invaded my life for the better. I have amazing and wonderful friends and family. Actually, a lot of my friends have become part of my family. I cherish them very much because they always encourage me and call just to chat or send a random text they know will make me smile. They are the people who are caring and also there to kick my butt when I need it. Martin is one of my very best friends. Hes part of my family. Hes given me an opportunity I would never have thought possible last year. He has not only become a wonderful friend being there for me when I need him, being around when Im sad, but making sure Im happy as well. Not to mention he lets me drive his Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine and allowed me to help him create Martins Movie Cars. Jason is always there for me and has been for the past 15 years. He sends me random things that make me laugh, but also is there when I need him. We enjoy similar things and we always make sure we are ok and have each others backs. My parents are always there for me in every way. They wont see this since they dont Facebook, but thats ok. Darin has also been there for me and as weve gotten to know each other, weve become quite good friends. He looks out for me and talks to me about things that I need to talk about. He allowed me to help him create Inland Empire Batmobiles and on top of that, he let me drive the Batmobile. Mandi is always there to talk even in the middle of the night. Shes family to me. We laugh and have fun at events and then she turns around and tells me to pull my head out of my butt when I start feeling down. She lifts me up and keeps me going. Nicole has been there to not only help me make my Tron jacket, but to be an overall friend as well. We talk often. Sometimes about fun things and sometimes about serious stuff, but one thing for sure is, she now family. Right now my girlfriend Sara is also an incredibly important and wonderful addition to my life I never expected. She gets me. She cares about me. She understands the nerd in me. She sees and accepts every part of me for who I am, She makes me smile on a daily basis from the little texts to the long phone calls. Shes captured my heart. Ivan has brought me in to be a part of Club Cosplay - The Nerds Night-Club. Im so honored. I get to help with several aspects of a phenomenon that is rocking the nerd world. Its brought me even more out of my shell and Ive made dozens upon dozens of new incredible friends that share a similar passion. Bernie has also been there for me and had middle of the night phone calls when I need it. Hes helped me know that its cool to be the nerd Ive always been and at this point, thats being with the cool crowd since being a nerd is cool. Check out his Nerds Like Us. Now for my Agents of NERDsafe. It started with me wanting to cosplay as an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and this group jumped in to join me so I wouldnt have to do it alone. We are now the safe face of Club Cosplay and are there to keep people feeling safe and help in general where and when we are needed. My fellow Agents, John, Dave, Jesse, MrPablo and Sara are a part of what makes this great. All of these people plus the dozens of friends I see at events and conventions make my life a good one. Ive created a photography page as well, something I never thought Id do. I enjoy it and even if Im just using my phone, I have a passion for it. Check it out at James Anderson Photography.
