Ive figured out which song describes the protest scene in #Ferguson, Missouri, nearly perfectly. Deer Dance by System of a Down. I do have something to say: shooting an unarmed 18-year-old with his whole life in front of him to the point of death for a robbery, or (since it seems the officer who shot did not know he was a suspect) for walking in the street, seems like something an Islamic terror group such as ISIS would do. It does not seem like something that should happen at the hands of police in the United States who are supposedly here to protect civilians, not assault them. That said, the police department is maintaining that the officer was assaulted by one of the men (Brown or his friend) before firing. Even if that is true, why did he have to fire to the point of death? Browns friend, an eyewitness, has told reporters that after the first shots Brown turned around and put his hands in the air and started to get down, and the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots. Again, that sounds like something that would happen in a Middle East war zone--someone with their hands in the air getting down to their knees being shot several times to the point of death. It does not sound like something that should happen on the streets of the U.S. at the hands of police who are supposed to be protecting civilians. Violence is wrong coming from the protesters just as it is wrong coming from the police. But the situation that has arisen since the shooting really does make me think of the song Deer Dance by System of a Down.
