Ive often heard what Christians look like to other people. I just have to wonder with so many versions and extremes of what being a Christ follower actually is if we ultimately confuse people. We have the privilege (yes, privilege) of representing the good life. We have found the answer to living this life in abundance and freedom even in the midst of sorrow and pain. However, some walk around like they are in prison, barely making it through each day, or straddling the fence like theyre still confused about the life they think theyve found. Then there are the ones that live like they are the only ones who can actually live the life they try to guilt other people into living by carving out impossible rules and standards to follow. Perhaps, if we walked like Jesus did, with our hearts full of love and our arms open wide. What if we intentionally walked our daily lives aware of the grace that profoundly accepts us even at our worst. How about boldly claiming the mercy that neither of us are worthy of each morning? Then finally we can be the light that is so desperately needed in a dark world. The reality is that we cant save the lost looking like were lost or acting like weve never been lost. But we can win the lost by living like weve been found & lovingly received by the greatest love anyone could ever imagine. #HappyTuesday
