Ive read some stuff about cleaning software for Linux, like bleachbit or Softy cleaner. Ive even used bleachbit on one of my pcs. Some people say they are useful, some say they do not make a difference and there are those people who say that they are in fact a potential danger to the stability of the OS. I would very much like to hear the opinions of the members of this group on this subject. My LIMITED personal experience is that bleachbit has not done any harm (yet) to my system and it SEEMS to be making a good job by freeing 300-800 MB each time I execute it. Once every 3-4 days that is. PS Ive been using similar software (CCleaner) for Windows for many years and on different computers and I have no complaint to make about the particular software, but since my experience is limited on Linux I thought it was a good idea to bring the subject in this group.
