Ive seen a lot about this lately and truthfully it just stumped me that so many people were SO bent out of shape over it. Bush once saluted he troops with his arms wrapped around a dog. Ive always found it odd that Presidents saluted the troops in the first place for a couple of reasons. 1. He is a civilian. 2. He is the Commander in Chief and as such, is their superior officer (if he wasnt a civilian). Anyway, the bottom line for me is that there really are bigger fish to fry here. It hasnt ALWAYS been done at all and I dont think for one minute that he doesnt respect our military.
