Ive seen a lot of police bashing online the last several days. And I am tired of it. There are nearly 800k police officers in this country. Men and women who place their lives in the line every second, every minute and every hour of every day. I want to apologize to you. On behalf if the young man cursing at you for citing him for rolling through that stop sign. Because I know you may have saved someones life by keeping him from striking someone. I want to say Im sorry for the lady who called you those names when you were not overly friendly to her. Because I know you may have just witnessed a dying child or a rape victim minutes before. An how could you smile after that? I want to offer my apology for those who make fun of you for sitting in the coffee shop. Because I am aware that your lunch break may only come in 5 minute increments several times a day. I want to say Im sorry for the crowds of people screaming murderer after you shot that man with the knife. You see, I understand that you have the right and the desire to go home to your family everyday. And in well aware that he may have murdered a child with that knife. I apologize to all of you for the public outcry to crucify you for keeping order in our streets and for allowing us to live safely in our homes. Most of all u want to apologize for every individual who has never said thank you. Our freedoms are enhanced and our lives are bettered by your call of duty.
