Here’s today’s question: I’m really afraid my teacher resume is too awful to get my first teaching job. In my district it just seems like I’m going to be competing against teachers with more experience who have been subbing for quite a while and can at least put that on their resumes. My job experience is just some volunteering and of course for student teaching. Is there anything you can think of that can help me so I at least feel I’m somewhat confident in submitting my resume? Or I guess any other activities that I could undertake it would help me gain the kind of experience that Principals are looking for?
