J&k Government on Saturday ordered release of Rs five crore as ex-gratia relief to the victims of Jammu province for loss of property suffered in recent communal clashes in Kishtwar and other districts. The funds have been kept at the disposal of the Department of Revenue andRelief. The Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu, said the ex-gratia would be provided on basis of the damage to the property. Sources said the Revenue Department has already been asked by the state government to assess losses to the property and business and submitreport to the Government. “Once the department submits the report of damage to the property including houses and shops the compensation will be distributed accordingly,” sources said.
