JAMES D. Jim HERSCHBACH, 74, of Perryville, Missouri, formerly of Palestine, Illinois, passed away at 11:05 pm, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Perry Oaks Nursing Home Perryville, Missouri. He was born to the late James V. and Doris (nee Roche) Herschbach on June 25, 1940 at Walsh, Illinois Jim married Karen S. Gasper on June 25, 1960 at Marion, Indiana; she survives. Jim had been a Correctional Officer at the Menard Physic Center for 25 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chester, Illinois, V.F.W., Perryville, Missouri and American Legion, Perryville, Missouri and was an AFSCME Retiree. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Orion AR15 during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
