JANUARY PRAYER GUIDE JANUARY 22 – Read John 4:27. Personally I think the disciples were pretty smart on this occasion. I think they for an instant were clear that what Jesus does and what He says is always with purpose and good. So questioning motives or calling his behavior to any sort of account would be unwise and a distraction. So they didn’t. As you sometimes hear a professional say to an observing novice – ‘watch and learn.’ That really is a great way to approach the whole of Scripture. So reread the previous story with this approach in mind – ‘watch and learn.’ Then talk to God.
