JCIN Area A Training Retreat - Offa, Kwara State Dear Active Citizen, Greetings from the City of Lagos as i bring you great news from the Area A Training Team as we prepare for the 2014 JCI Nigeria Area A Training Retreat. It is no more a news that this year RETREAT has been carefully planned and organized to be a world class RETREAT.. It is going to be a one of its kind with professionalism and excellence on how to RUN a standard Retreat with bespoke Training Faculty of high profiles and standards. The Retreat has been designed in such a way that it will cater for 3 categories and participants will be allowed at every session to select from the 3 categories available on the schedule. Training Strategy: This year Area A Training Retreat will feature three (3) types of training from Thursday to Saturday, they will cover the 3 Domains of Learning in Educational Psychology i.e 1. JCI Trainings (Affective Domain), 2. Vocational/Entrepreneurship Training (Psycho-motor Domain), 3. Special Training (Cognitive Domain). 1. JCI Trainings - Affective Domain of Learning: The JCI Trainings will be in form of TRAINATHON where we would have most of the courses at intervals to meet our objective of developing more trainers in JCI Nigeria and rekindle the passion for trainings. The conference would cater for more than enough time to impact to delegates as the name implies RETREAT it will showcase most of the significant JCI Courses and we have sourced for bespoke trainers in the Area to handle all the courses on the proposed schedule. The trainings will feature JCI Official Courses (to teach JCI members and officers the skills that are essential for the fulfillment of the JCI Vision, Mission and Values), JCI Recommended Courses (to help JCI members develop skills and knowledge needed to lead and strengthen the Local Organization) and JCI Free Courses (to help in the personal development of the JCI members). Available Online: JCI - Trainings 2. Vocational/Entrepreneurship Training - Psycho-motor Domain: The committee has been able to source for resourced entrepreneurs in the area of Vocational and Entrepreneurship we are considering 3 hours each for any of the trainings and we believe the facilitators can maximize the period to motivate, challenge and expose participants to further develop the skill in any of the attended classes in this category, we want to use the retreat to expose the participants to the skills and we hope they can further develop or go for advance trainings after the class. Delegate should be expecting trainings on Starting Up A Fish Farming Business, Web Designing, Operation & Maintenance Of Power Plant, Bead Making & Ankara Accessories, Increasing Efficiency Using Google Apps and Life After School. 3. Special Training - Cognitive Domain: We have 2 Special Trainings by distinguished internationally acclaimed speakers which we be a general session for all participants. The first will take place on Friday evening and the other one by Saturday evening. This is a motivational time, a time to encourage the participants, we see this training as the aspect that will cover the COGNITIVE, we want to charge the participants in all aspect of life. Also on Cognitive is a TRAINING COMPETITION tagged: Clash of The Trainers an avenue for trainers to compete on stage with each other.
