JESUS, GOD S STANDARD FOR MEASUREMENT . Part 1 Matthew 3:16-17 KJV And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. This is my beloved son IN WHOM I am well pleased. This is the first time God spoke about the lord Jesus since he arrived and since he left the pearly gates of Heaven in to Marys womb! You will notice carefully as you study your bible that God did not speak publicly to Jesus as a child in the cradle and manger of Mary and Joseph! We heard God say nothing even when Jesus went missing at age 12 during the feast of festival in Jerusalem! Mary who painstakingly has kept Jesus in the womb for 9 good months and took all the precautions to prevent miscarriage and any such malfunction of this divine seed! She was also very careful to carry out the 3Ns of child raising rearing: Nursing ,Nurturing and Nourishing the child till age 12 and the only trust and thrust of Heaven to this couple was missing! What a miss!!! There was the missing Jesus in the home and hands of Mary and Joseph for 72good hours! For three days ...Jesus the hope of mankind went missing in the hands of the biological parents.That means it can happen anywhere else and with anyone! Can I ask you to check if peradventure the same thing may have happened to you for the past three months or three years? Is Jesus there in your soul now? Is he breathing through you ? We dont mean if you knew Jesus three weeks or three years ago I mean now... you see even Mary and Joseph never knew he was not in their midst and among them...they got home from that feast only to see and realised he was not with them ! Many they are today who suddenly realised Jesus is missing in their home! Their marriage started with the lord...their journey to their Jesusalem destiny had Jesus for a start but not now again! Many churches too started very spiritual and sound godly and moral standards were high with Jesus but at last Jesus is critically and obviously absent now....every thing is dry and dreary ! Some sisters too stated very hot and spiritual but marriage and marriage issues took Jesus away and since then they have just been managing and patching up! Dont get to the final gate of the home above to see that you were only assuming and presuming all the while that you were Gods own! Too late that will be for any man. No amount of regret can change that. But we can be sure now.. So let me ask you again and dont be offended is Jesus truly in the soul of your life? I dont mean are you a church member or participate in church activities is he there in you? He is either present or absent. So what is your soul situation dear pilgrim? God has placed all things in him for all men. See this bible verse 1 John 5:10-12 GNB So all who believe in the Son of God have this testimony in their own hearts; but those who do not believe God have made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed what God has said about his Son. The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son. Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Did you see that? He that has the son of God only Him has life .And those that have him not even if the move around and think they live they have no life.! This is very serious. True Life has true definition in possessing the life of the son of God! To be making money and wearing all kinds of designers dresses and working in big or small places and building houses or buying the latest cars are all secondary. God owns all of these and they are not his problem with any man. He created them before he made man. They are older than man and so can easily enslave man! Have you not read that a man s life consists not in the abundance of what he possesses? It is how much of the Christ of God a man knows and possess and declare to the world by character and lifestyle that is crucial! That is why we are in this world...to become like Jesus to God. But to be like him we must acquire his own brand of life. Dont forget there are six kinds of life and these are: 1. Plant life 2. Animal life 3. Human life 4. Angelic life 5. The Adamic /,fallen nature life 6. The zero /God kind of life. We may look closely at them and their interrelationship to us in the days ahead but note God gave us plants and animal life to eat as humans so as to live to exchange our human life for the God kind of life.....this God brand of life was packaged in Jesus to be transported into us hallelujah! So Jesus is the receivable form of God! No man has ever seen God at any time says john 1:18 but the son who is in his bosom has reveal him...Jesus is the seeable and touchable and hand able form of God to mankind. To sideline Jesus and access God is as impossible as the word impossible itself! For no man cometh unto the father except through me Jesus clearly stated. This is my beloved son was the first public declaration of God about Jesus and came only when he was 30yrs! Can we be patient with God like this? This is tough and hard to learn That God the father kept watching Jesus for 30yrs without talking to him and when he did all he should do correctly including submitting to John to be baptise and also for Jesus to join that queue of sinners when he knew he had no sin, and on that sinners queue, God noted from Heaven that Jesus was even praying as he awaits his own turn for the baptism,it was a big plus for Jesus. The father couldnt but speak of such a correct life exhibited and declare it loudly! God said this is my beloved son.. He shouted it and thunder it from heaven... not these are my but this yet many peopletoday are after crowds and large figures as if Satan fears crowds! God seek for one correct life among us today...how much hell has receded by large camps and large memberships? This is my beloved son. May we produce correct men God can identify with. We raise too many members who are proud, arrogant and empty headed who never submit to a younger leader like John the baptist or lesser anointing but that is not Jesus! He is Gods standard who submit to anyone God has kept ahead of him a that time and we must insist to build according to the pattern of his life and ministry. Jesus is the standard of God first at where it matters most is at the point of salvation. But he must grow in us and mature so that men can touch, taste and experience him in us.
