Position: You will work as welder/assembler according with Alberta province Regulations. 2. Job requirements : • Languages : English • Education: Completion of college /vocational or technical training • Credentials: Certificates, license, courses diploma, membership etc. • Experience: Minimum 4.5 years • Major work area: maintenance/repair • Type: Industrial • Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW); Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG}; Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG); Flux core arc welding (FCAW); Multipass • Welding positions : All positions • Materials: Steel, Iron and heavy metal • Weight handling: Up to 23 Kg. • Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications; Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment; Operate manual or semi—automatic flame—cutting equipment; Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines; Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal; Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC); Operate drill presses; Determine weldability of materials; Spray welds; Select filler rods; Perform post welding heat treatment; Operate hoisting and lifting equipment; Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding; Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products; Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal; Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line; Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. • Additional skills: Instruct apprentices; Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes; Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications; Operate CAD systems; Layout patterns; Make shop sketches; Polish sheet metal; Supervise other workers • Security and safety : Drug test • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, welding helmet • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, sitting, standing for extended periods • Transportation/ travel information: Valid drivers license • Work location information: willing to relocate • Essential skills Reading text; Document use; Numeracy; Writing; Oral communication; Working with others; Problem solving; Decision making; Critical thinking; Job task planning and organizing; Significant use of memory; Finding information; Computer use; Continuous learning; 3. Wages and work Schedule: • Work week is 40 hours per week (8 hours/day; 5 days/week) • The Employee shall be entitled to 60 minutes per day of break time (lunch, coffee breaks, etc.) • The Employee shall be entitled to 1 day off per week, on Sunday • The Employee shall be paid a hourly rate of $30/hr 4. Benefits and Pension: As per the current Agreement of the Alberta Province. 5. Vacation: Vacation pay is paid at 6% of your wage 6. Effective date: When proper and valid immigration status is obtained. 7. Notice of Resignation Should the employee wish to terminate the present contract, The EMPLOYEE agrees to give the EMPLOYER written notice thereof at least one week in advance. 8. Notice of Termination of Employment The EMPLOYER will only give written notice before terminating the contract of the EMPLOYEE if this employee has completed 3 months of uninterrupted service with the EMPLOYER and if the contract is not about to expire. This notice shall be as per the collective agreement. 9. Other Terms and Conditions Your employment is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Agreement of the Alberta Province. 10.
