JOB VACANCY Position Title: Quality Assurance Analyst Department: Quality Assurance Title of Manager: Manager Quality Assurance Supervises: Non-supervisory position Employment Status: Regular - General Statement of Duties: The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for development and distribution of clinically oriented data and decision-making tools to the organization. Will develop and monitor clinical performance metrics and trends as required for continuous quality improvement related to lines of business. The Quality Assurance Analyst will provide technical and clinical assistance, coaching, data and process improvement support. This position will spend the majority of the time using data analysis and process improvement tools to meet regulatory deliverables and support health system leadership including work related with Performance Improvement Projects (PIPS), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Quality Improvement Project (QIP). Essential Position Functions Collaborate with other Maroof International Hospital staff and the Quality Assurance Department to identify areas of burden in the plan population and formulate effective interventions. Provide clinical perspective and expertise as necessary for program development and outreach to member clinics. Provide program status reports to department management and other stakeholders. Assist with report development and information gathering to identify opportunities for improvement. Help drive the design, creation, data collection, validation and reporting specifications. Provide expert knowledge of how to document and spread best practices in clinics to achieve KPI targets. Collaborate internally and externally to ensure the adoption and integration of assigned QI program activities. Apply appropriate improvement tools and technology essential to meeting project goals and communicate effectively with external and internal partners Act as a resource for clinic staff for problem solving, and disseminate educational and other resources or tools Work with Quality Assurance based projects that have a high likelihood of success through the following activities: • Support data needs/ understand data requests • Provide project updates • Prioritization of QA work Maintain confidentiality of all discussions, records, and other data in connection with quality management activities according to professional standards Update Management of barriers and progress on Performance Improvement Projects (PIPS), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Quality Improvement Project (QIP) and other defined work Knowledge, skills and abilities required • Possess thorough understanding of regulatory and contractual obligations required of the QA program. Knowledge of current practices in disease management; prevention and screening guidelines, comparison and benchmark programs, education/ teaching methods and outcomes evaluation Knowledge of quality improvement/performance improvement tools population analysis Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions Competency with computer software programs, e.g. MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to manage project scope and timeline effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks Education and/or Experience A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare preferably in a comparable position dedicated to quality and/or health improvement is required. Primary care and/or specialty clinic practice experience is desirable. Working Conditions The individual in this position will be expected to possess a high degree of initiative and motivation along with the ability to effectively collaborate and plan with coworkers and others. The individual will be in contact with a variety of professional and technical staff and must be customer service oriented and able to function under potentially tight time lines. In addition the person in this position will spend approximately 50% percent of time working at a PC terminal with the remainder of the time spent in member clinics and external meetings. Depending on deadlines and travel, hours may extend beyond regular business hours. As an exempt position the working hours vary
