JUSTICE FOR OUR SAF TROOPERS We, the officers and members of PROTECT (Police Officers Responsible for Organizing, Transforming and Empowering Communities), who represent the Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service (COPS), issue this statement of support to our comrades in the Special Action Force (SAF), who were massacred by coddlers of terrorists in Mamasapano, Maguindanao on January 25, 2015. We speak to console the grieving families of our slain police officers - their widows, children, bereaved parents, brothers, sisters and friends. Damang dama po namin ang kabigatan ng inyong dibdib at buong puso po kaming nakikiramay sa inyo. We stand to condemn the brutal killing of our SAF troopers that were out to serve a warrant of arrest against a Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist named Zulkifli bin Hir also known as Marwan, a notorious bomb-maker who is among the Most Wanted Terrorists in the world. We respectfully call on all responsible entities in the Philippine Government – Executive, Legislative and Judiciary, to BRING TO JUSTICE THE PERPETRATORS OF THESE BARBARIC ACTS. This is by far the highest casualty suffered by our troops under the hands of a group supposedly waving the olive branch of peace. OUR FALLEN COMRADES CRY OUT FOR JUSTICE FROM THEIR OPEN GRAVES.Lubhang masakit ito hindi lamang sa mga naulilang pamilya, kundi sa buong hanay ng kapulisan. OUR CHALLENGE NOW IS TO UPHOLD JUSTICE, HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE RULE OF LAW. The world needs to see that this country is not a safe haven for terrorists, but a nation that values our freedom, and is grateful to our heroes.
