Jack and Jule were adopted as a pair into a home with a pair of pups, and -- so far, so good! Hurray! from their new mom: just thought I would send you the week 2 update - the boys are really great. They are eating their Innova heartily and no pre-treats are necessary...now treats are for treats! They have begun sampling some raw food items too. We all play several time per day - and we have seen Jule the acrocat...he is really quite the jumper. Jack too and enthusiastic player. Both are venturing out of the guest room and into the rest of the bedroom wing of our ranch style home - so now they have explored 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a fairly long hallway. Comfort zone is their room with litter pans, food, water, multiple beds and a closet set with beds and a kitty playground of sorts. The dogs are settling and we feel soon they will find the cats a normal part of the household. The dogs are still very interested in watching the cats - no aggression. The cats come a few feet away from the dogs with a pet gate between - they dont show signs of fear, just curiosity. We have decided to go very slowly and let the cats interact with the dogs if and when they choose. Everybody gets treats when we are in close proximity and all is calm. These boys are very affectionate with us too - the purring is very loud, they come to us and seem to smile. They still scoot under the bed when startled, but come right back out again when we talk to them. I will shoot you another note again to let you know how they are doing, we are in love and are looking forward to them feeling confident about their entire home within a few weeks.
