Jacob et all Bars - In House. Help me help you, Jacob et al: https://youtube/watch?v=l1B1_jQnlFk Assisted Suicide: Joanne Remke Byron Damiani Cameron Smyth Richard Robinson Euthanasia refers to the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering. As of 2006, euthanasia is the most active area of research in contemporary labs - bioethics. Assisted suicide is the common term for actions by which an individual helps another person voluntarily bring about his or her own death. Assistance may mean providing one with the means (a solid, fact based reason) to end ones own life. Proponents of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide (PAS) contend that terminally ill people should have the right to end their suffering with a quick, dignified, and compassionate death. They argue that the right to die is protected by the same constitutional safeguards that guarantee such rights as marriage, procreation, and the refusal or termination of life-saving medical treatment. Opponents contend that doctors have a moral responsibility to keep their patients alive by Hippocratic Oath. They argue there may be a slippery slope from euthanasia to murder, and that legalizing euthanasia will unfairly target the poor and disabled and create incentives for insurance companies to terminate lives in order to save money. De Facto: In fact, by deed, actually existing, without authorization. This phrase is used to characterize an officer, a government, a past action, or a state of affairs which must be accepted for all practical purposes, but is illegal or illegitimate. In this sense it is the contrary of de jure, which means rightful, legitimate, just or constitutional.
