Jeff Wade ****Is it possible for a saved individual to miss the Rapture?? The answer to this question is contained in another question.... Is it possible for a saved individual to miss Heaven? The answer to one of these questions would receive a resounding NO from most Christians, but the other question is somehow placed into another category altogether. The fact of the matter is that they are absolutely synonymous with one another! They are so interconnected, one could never receive a different answer from the other. In other words, since it is NOT possible for a saved person to miss Heaven, it is NOT possible for a saved person to miss the Rapture! It takes no more than a firm understanding of what the purpose of being saved is. The end result of Biblical salvation is the rescue of mankind by Jesus Christ from the righteous wrath of God. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. There are two phases yet future to Gods wrath, Tribulation wrath and Hell wrath. The verse above does not make a distinction between which wrath of God it is referring to, it just says that we are delivered from THE WRATH to come. The very reason why there is no distinction is because there is no need to make a distinction. Wrath is wrath, and praise God we have been delivered from ALL of it!! Romans 10:13 says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED. Whoever heard of partial salvation?? SAVE : verb (used with object), saved, sav·ing. 1. to rescue from danger or possible harm, injury, or loss: to save someone from drowning. The false proponents of the partial Rapture teaching would suggest that very thing. When you got saved, you didnt get FULLY saved. Oh, you got saved from Gods wrath in Hell, but the only way to get saved from Gods wrath in the Tribulation is to be a spiritual, super duper Christian. My Bible tells me that when the Lord Jesus Christ took my place on the cross of Calvary, He did not partially save me, He saved me completely! Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. If one single believer in Jesus Christ is left behind at the Rapture, no matter how unspiritual he is, this verse is a lie! Salvation is a lie! The fact that Jesus Christ appeased the wrath of God on the cross is a lie! Plain and simply put, proponents of a partial Rapture are the same as the you can lose your salvation crowd, just wrapped in a different package. The contents of the package are the same and it boils down to one thing only...A WORKS-BASED GOSPEL and is a different gospel altogether than what is taught in the Word of God! Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Just a reminder, Paul wrote the book of Galatians to combat the mixing of law and grace! MARANATHA!!
