Jesus Warned Us That We Would Have Trouble In This world. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” 1 Peter 4:11-19 v. 19: So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 v. 8 – 10: Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Mark 10:29-30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. Take comfort when you become a Christian that though you will have trouble in this world; Jesus Himself will deliver you from all these troubles and remember that they are temporary. Pastors should start ministering to Christians about suffering for Christ; so that many will take courage and NOT think that it is a curse or its because of something they did and they are being punished. Folks, the Gospel is NOT about prosperity; but it is about Kingdom purpose. Most times when God wants you to grow and to know Him more intimately; He will allow suffering as He has just demonstrated in these Biblical References. They are not my words; but I have experienced immense suffering and it all started when I gave my life to Christ. I am sure that I am not the only one; but through it all ... we count it all as joy! Alleluia!!!! Baraka tele all! - Abundant blessings!
