Jitterbug needs to create a computer interface JUST for senior citizens. NO desktop, no moveable icons, a VERY ergonomic mouse, just email, Internet and a text editor. ALL updating has to happen seamlessly in the background. The computer MUST come with free and working antivirus software. The email program should be called EMAIL. The Browser should be called INTERNET. What the Hell is browsing? The text editor should be called WRITING. No one should ever be asked to SAVE DISCARD or CANCEL. Instead the prompt should be like Are you done now? Do you want to keep this? Or better yet, since old people never use much disk space, it should just save EVERYTHING. The photo program should be called PHOTOS. The music program should be called MUSIC. The video-conference app should be called CALL PEOPLE. And thats it. No more programs or apps. All device syncing- even cameras- must happen automatically by Bluetooth. Photos need to just appear on the computer when the camera is close by. Same with music. The computer should not ask stupid questions like Do you want to import these photos? Because DUH! Why did I BUY this camera?? Then Jitterbug should make the camera and the mp3 player to go with it, so that the syncing is guaranteed Oh and there should be only one printer called PRINT THE STUFF YOU SEE. Finally, like that new tablet, if the old person gets confused, or needs medical care, they should just be allowed to yell HELP! and have a person appear on their screen to help. Trust me, if they had me on the design team Id design the best damned easy senior citizen computer.
