Jodi on love: Mas realistic ako ngayon MANILA – Actress Jodi Sta. Maria is busy preparing for the wedding of her character Maya on the hit ABS-CBN series “Be Careful With My Heart.” In the daytime soap, Maya is set to tie the knot with widowed businessman Richard “Sir Chief” Lim, played by actor Richard Yap.While she still believes in a fairy tale wedding just like Maya, Sta. Maria said she is now more realistic when it comes to love. The actress has separated from her former husband Pampi Lacson and is currently dating actor-politician Jolo Revilla. “Siguro mas realistic ako ngayon,” she said in a press conference for the Sir Chief-Maya wedding on Monday. “Pero oo naman, masarap isipin na mangyayari pa rin sa iyo ‘yon (fairy tale wedding), ‘di ba?” added the actress, who has a son Thirdy with her ex-husband.Sta. Maria and Lacson, who got married in 2005, separated in 2011. Wedding of the year ABS-CBN will air the much-awaited wedding of Maya and Sir Chief as an episode of “Be Careful with My Heart” on November 15. Sta. Maria expressed her excitement over the upcoming wedding, noting that viewers of the show have been waiting for this episode for a long time. “Ako personally excited ako para sa mga tao dahil alam ko na matagal na nilang hinihintay ‘to, ‘di ba? Kung matagal silang naghintay para officially maging couple si Maya at si Sir Chief, I’m sure hinihintay nila ito na magkatuluyan finally,” she said. “Para kaming nagpi-prepare sa totoong wedding. Nandiyan ‘yung mga rehearsals. May counseling at marami pang iba. May prenup shoot pa, may after-wedding part, so talagang the works talaga,” she added. Yap, for his part, said he and Sta. Maria have been preparing for the big event, which he referred to as the “wedding of the year.” “Of course, we are excited to show the wedding of the year nga kasi malaki ang preparation na ginagawa namin dito. So we would like to show the people kung paano kami ikakasal, so that we can share it,” he said. Sta. Maria said that after the wedding, the two lead characters of “Be Careful with My Heart” will have their honeymoon in Japan. “Kasi si Maya hindi pa siya nakaka-experience o nakakakita ng totoong snow sa buhay niya. Dahil sa pagmamahal ni Sir Chief kay Maya, ‘yun ‘yung gusto niyang ma-experience ni Maya. So humanap siya ng isang lugar kung saan mayroong snow. So sa panahon ngayon, mayroon nang snow sa Japan, so pa-fly si Sir Chief at Maya sa Japan para mag-honeymoon,” she explained.
