Joey had a pretty good day today. Oxygen is still the same 2 liters at 50%, and he is still getting his goal feed at 25ml an hour. He coughed this morning and then gagged and spit up bloody mucus and a little stomach content. It was a small amount but the blood was red. The nurse suctioned his nose and it had red blood and mucus so they thought it may just be nasal drip that made him cough and gag. Never the less since he still has blood in his urine, they took some blood samples to check platelets, coagulants, and get numbers on everything. Since he has Cath lab tomorrow they need to know if there is anything wrong with his blood ahead of time. He did a big poopy which was nasty but a good thing! Who knew motherhood would make you excited about poop? LOL He slept quite a bit today, but when he was awake he was happy and alert. I got in lots of snuggle time! Anxious and worried about tomorrow. He needs to go to cath lab so the doctors can figure out why he has decreased heart function, but I am worried about him going under and being intubated while he has pnuemonia and is so weak and sick.
