[John Sandford posting] Just finished perpetrating another 1,200 words on the next Davenport book, and thought Id share a crystalline insight of the kind that usually only arrives with the aid of certain herbage, of the kind I havent tried for many, many, many, many...wait, what was I saying? Oh. Almost fell over -- I thought the chair legs were my shoes. Haha. Anyway, for you country music fans, the insight is...Justin Bieber is the reincarnation of Hank Williams Sr. I mean, its all so clear now. Really, look them up on the Wiki. Same career path -- hundred dollar talent, as some producer supposedly said of Hank Sr., and a ten-cent brain. There really were no country charts when Hank Sr. was singing, so he was considered a pop singer, just like JB. They both had an ability to wow certain kinds of women, both made some pretty good sounds (and some pretty bad,) they showed the same over-indulgence in mind- and mood-altering substances and fast cars, the same kind of reckless disregard for their health and that of anyone who was (is) standing nearby. They even kind of look alike, give or take a little. The Bieb IS Hank Williams. Believe me, when the Bieb finally kills himself, somebody will jump up to make a hero out of him. The Legend of Justin Bieber, starring...you know, whatever oily dipshit is the current Hollywood John Travolta, about eighteen minutes into his fifteen minutes of fame.
