Joy emailed-I am currently being fitted for a new AK socket. The suction system is a gel liner and then a sock type liner with a single gel ring slides on top of the gel liner. That single ring is what holds me in the socket. Im finding that the seal can break when I sit. My prosthetist let me borrow an Iceross Seal-In X5 to see how that would work. It was pretty hard to roll on, but once I had it on it seemed to have a stronger hold. The only problem is that it was a sample liner and couldnt be cut to my length so I had to walk with the excess liner over my socket. Because of that I couldnt get a full idea of how it would work. Are there any AK amputees here that could give me some feedback about this liner?
