Judged to Be Judged Print | Bookmark (CTRL-D) Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we were healed. I would have quoted the entire 53rd of Isaiah, but I leave that to you the reader. For I believe that most of us know who the prophet Isaiah was referring to in the chapter. I have personally gone over and over the entire 53rd chapter of Isaiah for the last 20 years and I still come up with the question: Why would a God of Grace and Peace, who gave up His Only Son to die such a horrible death for the sins of the whole world, would again bring judgment upon the world and the believers at what many believe to be Christs second coming? For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16,17. These two passages reveals to us just how much God loved the world and how He not only gave up His Son for it, but also did not sent Him to condemn the world but to save it. If God judged the sins of all the world in Jesus, then why a God who so loved the world and watched His own Son died such a horrible death upon a cross, would again be looking to judge the world and even believers in the future? Have any of you ever thought about these things? I dont know about you my friend, but for years the pulpit has told me about a future judgment that will take place and I just cant buy such theology when I read Isaiah 53. Imagine! - He (Jesus) was judged, but yet we are being told by the pulpit that there is still a future judgment that we shall all be judged with some time in the near future. It just doesnt make sense. Do we really understand what really took place at the cross and the reason behind the sufferings of Christ? Can we honestly read through the 53rd chapter of Isaiah and yet believe that God -after what He gave up His Son for - will again bring upon the entire world another judgment? What will God be punishing us for this time? Will it be for our bad works? Will it be for the sins that weve done after the resurrection of Christ? Will it be for our constant failures and lack of obedience? What sort of reasoning could we possibly come up with that will convince us of another judgment day? Wasnt Christs judgment for sin enough? What Old Testament law will God yet punish us for in the future? What was it that revealed our sin, that Jesus had to die for? Was it not the law of Moses? Did not Jesus fulfilled the law, the prophets and the psalms? Did God make a temporary and conditional covenant of Grace with us? Will God be breaking His covenant of Grace and Peace with us again to bring us all to another judgment day? Wouldnt another judgment make the sacrifice and the suffering of the cross a vain thing? Friends, if it were to be true that God will bring judgment again, then it is for certain that righteousness came by the law and not by Grace. Gal. 2:21. I challenge each and everyone of you to think about the things that Ive shared here in this article and see if you can find anywhere in the 53rd chapter any form of conditional love. It has been mans self interpretation of the bible that has led all of us to believe that there will be a future judgment. But if there be a future judgment as many have said that there will be, then my friend God is going to have to apologize to Jesus for what he suffered in vain at the cross. The fact is that the Judged To Be Judged doctrine is just that, a man made doctrine. A doctrine of mixing grace and law together. A conditional doctrine of self-righteous works. A doctrine of judgment and love mixed together. If you do good, God wont beat you, but if you do bad, look out for judgment day. The doctrine of Judged To Be Judged was designed to control, scare and put us under guilt and doubt when it comes to our salvation by grace through faith. In closing I would like to say that a very high percentage amongst Christians do not enjoy the peace of God for fear of a future judgment. The second coming of Christ to most Christians is a terrifying thing, and the only way they can avoid thinking about it, is to tell the world that they will be the ones who will fry on judgment day. Isaiah 53 was Gods final judgment. If we cant accept that, then my friend, regardless of our works, good or bad, the fact is that all of us will have to be judged again. We are righteous before God in Christ. Jesus exchanged His robe of righteousness for our robe of filthy rags. He was judged in the pass so that we wouldnt be judged in the future. Praise God! THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR OBEDIENCE, MERCY AND LOVE. WE LOVE YOU LORD JESUS! With His stripes we were healed from the law, sin and death. Jesus took our place in hell so that we could rejoice in heaven. Grace and Peace Eddie Narvaez
