June is an excellent period for seawatching off Tarifa. This is the best period to observe one of the Mediterranean Jewels, the endangered Balearic Shearwater, which is now leaving its breeding grounds towards the Atlantic. Moreover, Spemwhales are being observed almost daily. They are here looking for precious squids. I got this video a few days ago during a very successful trip in collaboration with our colleagues in Turmares. We came through up to 5-6 different Spermwahles, 3 of them at nice and respectful close range.
