Just Sharing: SSA held a long meeting prior our 100th anniversary celebration on 27.02.2010 of Singapore Scouting History attended by some of our fellow senior pelandok scouters in preparation for the actual day performance. When my turn came for interview, I made it easy for the committee members to select all the scouting songs in a book which I had compiled over the years for their easy selection & decision as there were many schools scouting troop throughout the whole of Singapore participating in the event ranging from all the elite schools. Most of the scouting songs were chope. As a former SJI Pelandok Scout participant it came to my knowledge that ACS Scouts were using violins to entertain 1,200 guests while dinning. SSA Ukelele team chope most of the scouting songs for their 45 minutes sing-a-long. My personal assessment as a seasoned pub performer told me that only a keyboard was needed to entertain a large crowd instead of using a guitar. I modified some of the songs that I was told to do.
