The awards salute those Authorized PING Fitters who have demonstrated the highest commitment to custom fitting and the promotion of its benefits to golfers of all abilities Winners were chosen based on points earned across several criteria and disciplines, including custom orders, commitment to ongoing training, sustained sales growth, use of PING tools and technologies, and support of the entire PING product line. From Mike Stachura of Golf Digest - As Ive said many times in print, I firmly believe that clubfitting is the great and largely untapped frontier for golf improvement for the vast majority of golfers. We have stressed in the magazine the value of fitting and we hope that our selection of the 100 Best Clubfitters helps get average golfers thinking more about clubfitting as a key element to their future enjoyment and progress in the game. Certainly, the difficulty of determining this list was substantial, and we do not enter into any ranking without the utmost diligence. We contacted many industry sources for recommended and honored facilities, we polled our national panel of more than 1,000 course raters to determine facilities that were held in the highest regard and we considered more than a thousand facilities nationwide and reviewed final nomination forms from more than 300 facilities before we could determine a list. Miles of Golf Named to AGM Platinum Award List for Premier Golf Shops2013 Platinum Award Logo The Platinum Award recognizes the top 100 premier golf shops from the private, public, resort and off-course sectors. Entries were judged on creative ideas, revenue-generating initiatives, promotions and visual displays. The AGM Platinum Awards are a combination of two long-standing awards programs, Golf Worlds 100 Best Golf Shops and AGMs Front Nine Awards. The recipients received their award on Jan. 25 at the Annual PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.
