Just a quick note...we will not have internet at house until Saturday so I am using it at Smashburger right now! They also have good burgers to go along with the net!! I wont be able to get to facebook as often as I would like, but I am deeply, deeply touched by the generosity and love shown by soooo many people. I owe a lot of thank you cards and plan on getting those going over break after Christmas! I huge thank you to Julie Cordes, Bonnie Jones and their sister Karen for making their parents and their childhood home available to us and giving us a little normality back in our lives. We were watching all the birds and a red headed woodpecker this am and my kids had never seen one of those before! The view is awesome! I heard a turkey gobble and my dogs heads cocked sideways trying to figure it out. Pretty funny moment! As for now, THANK YOU to all the friends, students, colleagues, former students, community members that have helped us in many ways! When I look up and see fellow teachers arrive at the house right after the tornado, when I look up and see former students , former parents of students and relatives show up to help us move, clean, pack, transport all of our possessions I am touched beyond words!!! When I have stacks of cards, prayers, gift cards, etc. etc. given to me, some by people I have never meant, I am in such awe and amazement, I just hope that I am worthy of it. I truly love and cherish my family! Nancy and I meant during a bomb threat at her school, now we have been thru another obstacle, the F 4, and have overcome it with the help of everyone! My kids have been phenomenal, resilient, unwavering by not complaining but charging forward with their Scottish stubbornness and still keeping a sense of humor. To Nancy, Jake, Joe, Jessica, Happy and Summer I say THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU MORE EVERYDAY! I truly believe I am the most fortunate and luckiest man alive. I have more to be thankful for than I could have ever imagined! Thank you everyone! I hope none of you ever go thru an ordeal like this, but if you do I will do my best to be at your side to help you! May God Bless you!!!
