Just a small reminder that Tues. June 17th is voting day on the proposed McKenzie Towne Outdoor Recreation Plaza Project. For information, you can still drop by the Towne Hall or visit mtcouncil/plaza. In a government study, those living in a community with seven or more recreational facilities were 32% less likely to be overweight, and 26% more likely to be highly active, compared to those who live in areas with few rec facilities. Research has shown that the benefits of exercise include; increased socialization, bolstered self-confidence, greater sportsmanship, and a greater emphasis on the importance of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
