Just answering a few questions that have been asked , Im a full time cakes maker/designer,i work from my home and have been fully inspected by the environmental health and council . I hold a pass rate to work and have health and hygiene pass, Yes i may be more expensive than a Hobby baker this is because im insured pay national insurance and tax plus i use the best ingredients. If you buy from a hobby baker they are not registered or legal and they should only charge you for ingredients,they cannot charge for boards boxes,cooking time even the ribbon on cake ,no extra money should change hands,they also should only bake for friends and family ,this is why they are can be cheaper,So when you see 3 tier cake for £50 have a think ,who would you like to do your cake that your family will eat , yes i was a hobby baker to start with but soon as orders came i registered Hope this answers your questions Elaine xx
