Just because Artistic Dreams programming is on hold til mid-July, doesnt mean you got to hit pause on the artsy fun. In fact, NYC has a ton of fun happening this weekend for the official start of summer! Usher in the summer solstice with a morning of Hawaiian Storytelling at La Mama, E.T.C. in the East Village on June 21 at 11am. Also on June 21 is the Summer Solstice Celebration in Long Island City, featuring face painting, kayaking, an art workshop, a silent disco, and a special solstice ritual. The festival will be in Socrates Sculpture Park at 5pm. Happy summer!
