Just for the record.. If you are traveling South on Grand Ave, particularly in front of Kings Daughters Hospital, the West Lane of the street is sinking. This has the potential to turn into a serious condition if not addressed by our city leaders. It reminds you of the way the original entrance to Glennwood Cemetery started breaking away. Many of you may not remember there is a major drainage ditch running east to west at the north end of the hospital. Don’t know if the ditch has been compromised by recent flooding or the road base of the street has been compromised but it’s definitely an issue that needs to be addressed and fixed not patched by the city before someone is injured by walking across the street or driving down the street as this is not going to improve. Also this will be a costly repair and will only increase as the damage continues. Please make a call to the city leaders to address this as soon as you have an opportunity as it could be a loved one who gets hurt from this.
