Just gave slipknots new album a second spin, and Im pleasantly suprised how much its grown on me. I like the overall atmosphere, the effects and percussion are more in the forefront, and when they are in the background, the subtlety is really effective. I prefer this to all hope is gone already, favourate songs: AOV, The devil and I, The negative one, If rains what you want (that doom riff in the middle!!) and custer, which is the most vicious song slipknot have made since IWOA - it slays.
