Just watched this little film last night, and while it starts off strong and has some good moments and points it loses its luster in the latter half. Its held back by how very preachy it is and its particularly liberal leanings. The film criticizes societys fascinations with: celebrities, pop culture shows like Jersey Shore or American Idol and the general lack of courtesy, kindness and respect. All things I can get behind, however, the film goes out of its way to criticize extreme right wing/conservative ideologues, which is great, but its a missed opportunity that it refrains from criticizing any other political extremes, which ultimately gives it a little bias. If violence and some socio/political commentary/satire is your thing then God Bless America should mostly satisfy. But, unlike Falling Down or even Rampage: the film is a tad preachy, its not equal opportunity in its criticisms and its a tad overlong. https://youtube/watch?v=yruArw21EGA
