KIBAKI’s confidante and Kenya’s strongman, FRANCIS MUTHAURA appointed as BRITAM CHAIRMAN Former Head of civil service, Francis Kirimi Muthaura, has been appointed as the chairman of Britam Investment Group. This came after the resignation of J Nicholas – Ashford-Hodges, who has served as board chairman for many years. Ashford was appointed to the lucrative portfolio in 2002. Muthaura, a career diplomat, was first appointed to the Britam Board of Directors on August 15, 2013. He has vast public and private sector management and leadership experience gained through assignments both locally and internationally. Muthaura holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science and post graduate Diploma In international Relations from the University of Nairobi. He is also a confidante of former President Mwai Kibaki.
