Kathys Gang..... We spent several years participating and raising as much as we possibly could for cancer patients, we did this in loving memory of our mother, a champ herself! Our very first year just happened to be on our mothers birthday, which made it even more special to us! Also that first year guess who was awarded the most laps walked certificate!!???? My Bro John! His feet were bleeding at the end of the night but he walked on! Each year we pushed our selves determined to beat the previous years amount we raised, we had years of fun and good times and met alot of good people and even survivors, but at the same time, we never forgot why we were there. It sure wasnt for recognition or a pat on the back, it was to help others going thru what our mother faced. I know our mother was smiling down and proud of what we done! I encourage people to get involved, it makes a huge difference in so many lives, and if your town doesnt have a Relay 4 Life organization i strongly encourage you to speak up stand up and make it happen! I know my town doesnt have one anymore and in time i do plan on taking the steps to changing that! Kathys Gang rocked and I believe we made a difference in someones life!
