Kigumba-Kabwoya-Kagadi-Kyenjojo road, Hoima RDC has warned members of Bunyoro Transformation Club-a pressure group collecting 1 million signatures to petition Parliament for the urgent tarmacking of the road not bather convene in Hoima looking for signatures. This is after Kato Ronald Rwahwire, a lawyer and Ali Babi, the group members announced plans to camp in Hoima to look for signatures. Over 500 people are said to have appended their signatures on the petition papers. Last week, three activists in Masindi district were arrested over similar claims. The group is accusing government for hoodwinking Bunyoro for the last 10 yrs promising to tarmac the road but in vein. Its on this background that the group has started a campaign dubbed NO ROAD NO VOTE demanding government to fulfill its pledge. Godfrey Nyakahuma, the RDC says there is no cause for alarm since government has awarded the project to two contractors. He says the road project will be worked on in three phases ie Kigumba-Bulima, Bulima-Kabwoya, Kabwoya-Kyenjojo. ## End
