Kufr Qaddoum. It takes real brave men to resist an occupying force with rocks. An occupying force with live bullets, rubber coated steel bullets, tear gas, stun grenades and skunk spray in their arsenal. Yet the Palestinian villagers of Kufr Qaddoum near Nablus in the occupied west Bank Palestine come out to face this every single Friday despite the threat of death, injury or arrest. Why? Because the illegal Israeli settlement Qadumim next to the village of Kufr Qaddoum has stolen land and closed the road which gives access to the nearest city of Nablus effectively cutting off the village. The weekly protests are in support of stopping illegal settlements and ending the occupation of Palestine. During the weekly Kufr Qaddum protest today, an 18-year-old Palestinian demonstrator, and an ISM volunteer, were both shot in the chest with .22 live ammunition.
