Kuki Inpi appeals IMPHAL, Oct 27: The Kuki Inpi, Saikul and Saikul Block Kut Celebration Committee have strongly condemned the murder of JCB driver Devraj. Both organisations demanded from the state government to arrest all the culprits and give befitting punishment. Meanwhile, the Kuki Inpi of Saikul Area and Saikul Block Kut Celebration Committee have earnestly appealed the JAC of Devraj killing to lift the bandh in view of the Saikul area Kut celebration on October 29. UNLF owns up to North AOC blast Imphal, Oct 27: Proscribed UNLF has claimed responsibility for the IED blast that took place yesterday morning near PHED water reservoir tank at North AOC leaving an Assam Rifle personnel injured. In a press statement of the outfit it is stated that the blast was carried out by a small demolition team of the Urban Warfare group of MPA, its army wing. The UNLF statement further said that there could have been more casualties, however as the MPA felt the necessity of taking up maximum restrain to avoid civilian casualty, they had succeeded in injuring only one AR personnel. It further said that the kind of splinters was used during the blast at governor road.
