Kys experience of the Swap: Last night was the swap and being - TopicsExpress

Kys experience of the Swap: Last night was the swap and being that it was my first, I wasnt sure what to expect. I had teary eyes driving to class, looking at Major knowing he wasnt coming home with me. I wondered where he would go and who would be coming home with me. As we began talking about the swap, I had a rush of emotions but finally I find out I am getting Eddie. My face lit up (or so I was later told!) and I felt a sense of peace and excitement. The support within our group was amazing and I knew I was not alone in any of my emotions. I handed over Major and took Eddie, and surprisingly it felt easy. I know Major is one step closer to being a working dog and now I have the honor and opportunity of helping prepare another dog with my lifestyle. Eddie has made himself quite at home and I feel like we have been together for years. Being an out of state college student, I have truly found a family in JLAD and Im so lucky to be apart of this all! Eddie has lots of people waiting to meet him in my classes and I know he will impress them all!
