LAST CALL FOR GUINNESS AMPLIFY’S FREE MUSIC WORKSHOPS WITH PARTNERS FIRST MUSIC CONTACT Registration now open for emerging artists to apply for workshops and gain valuable insights from music experts in Belfast on Saturday 22nd November. Wednesday 19 November, 2014: Guinness Amplify has continued to support talented musicians by hosting a series free workshops throughout Ireland and will host its final free music workshop in Belfast’s Oh Yeah Music Centre on Saturday 22 November. Registration is still open and places will be offered on a first come, first served basis. A panel of music industry experts, chaired by Angela Dorgan from First Music Contact and Hard Working Class Heroes, will share their insights and advice on the industry to up and coming artists. Other expert panellists include publisher Ben Leahy, festival booker Jenny Wren and journalist Nialler9 plus many more, who will give artists the opportunity to share demos and make valuable connections. Launched in July of this year, Guinness Amplify connected fresh, exciting artists with audiences all over Ireland in the form of hundreds of gigs throughout September and early October this year. Duke Dumont and Disclosure played live at a surprise gig in Belfast in September, and speaking ahead of the gig Duke Dumont said in an exclusive interview that getting involved in something like Guinness Amplify was what gave him the opportunity to become more established in the music industry. Full interview here: https://youtube/watch?v=Kr6TOxINp9k Registration for the last remaining places in Belfast is still open, so those interested in attending should log onto guinnessamplify to register and for further details. In the afternoon of the Guinness Amplify workshops, First Music Contact will also deliver master classes with the acts that have caught the Guinness Amplify panel’s eye during the live performance stage of Guinness Amplify.
