LISTEN ATTENTIVELY!!! A Pastor, or any Leader infact, must be able to LISTEN! To listen to 1) God and 2) man. Listening is not just an ACT but also an ART - Youre also supposed to listen to reactions (unsaid words - thoughts). Simply put, you have to be able to listen to man to understand his plight/feelings/views/ideas and you have to be able to listen to God for answers/solutions. - God LISTENED to Racheal and He opened her womb. God also LISTENED to Leah and she became pregnant for Jacobs 5th Son. - Moses LISTENED to his father-in-law - When the Sun stood still for Joshua and the Children of Israel to win their battle, It was recorded (Josh 10:14) that the Lord LISTENED to him! - Great Men of God LISTENED!! - King David, Daniel, Peter, Paul, etc; Great Men of God are still LISTENING! Pastor Adeboye, Rev George Adegboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rev Kayode Ijisesan, Pastor D.K Olukoya, and that Pastor/Deacon/Minister in YOUR CHURCH etc In conclusion, whether youre a President, Senator, Governor, Pastor, Prophet, Chairman, MD, Leader, Coordinator, Customer Care Officer, Parent, Husband/Wife, Teacher, Child, etc the trick question is: ARE YOU A LISTENER OR JUST A HEARER? The difference is - People who listen often RESPOND! P.S - God still Listens (even to the unsaid words of your heart). - Listen to God, Listen to Others and Listen to yourself. - Any leader who doesnt listen at all is probably a dictator!! - Listening has a great part to play in giving birth to great inventions & Discoveries! * I actually struggled with listening to some people while composing this piece. #foodforthought
