LOCK IN A LOW ELECTRIC RATE!!! tinyurl/5LnxEnergy U.S. Electricity Retail Prices Generation fuel costs and wholesale electricity prices have increased this year after a considerable decline in 2012. Changes in the costs of providing electricity are not immediately reflected on retail customer bills because state regulatory commissions must approve rate changes in many areas of the country. EIA expects the residential retail price of electricity in 2013 will grow by 2.2% to an average of 12.1 cents per kilowatthour. Prices are expected to grow by another 1.5% in 2014.
