LOSINJ literary gatherings TWILIGHT ON THE TERRACE To add to the unique and unforgetable experience for the visitors to Losinj, as well as to enrich daily lives for local population, this year we are offering an extended cultural programme. Val Travel Agency and the programme moderator Branka Džebić will present to you the TWILIGHT ON THE TERRACE series, including a number of true literary stars, within the beautiful ambience of Villa Elisabeth in Veli Losinj, a former residence of Austrian Grand Duke Carlo Stephen in 1896. This series of literary gatherings will start in June and will be followed by its sequel with additional surprises in September. The literary series TWILIGHT ON THE TERRACE will begin on the 8th of June with Alida Bremer, a highly respected translator, novelist and above all a promoter of Croatian literature in Europe. In Germany, Alida recently published a novel Olivas Garden, sections of which will be exclusively presented during the Lošinj series. Edo Popović will be our guest on the 14th June, one of the most urban of Croatian writers, who follows contemporary trends. Some of his recent prose will be presented, created during his stay at the Velebit mountain – an interesting, intriguing and very actual writer. 21st of June is dedicated to Miro Gavran, the honorary citizen of Losinj, a brilliant novelist and most translated Croatian writer, frequently present at many stages across the world, who has recently turned to poetry. All events will be accompanied by musical contributions, performed by local Losinj musicians. Come and join us for the TWILIGHT ON THE TERRACE at Villa Elisabeth at 8.30pm, to dream literary dreams with the visiting authors.
