LOVE LOVE LOVE is all I can say about these three ! I CANNOT explain how hard it was picking my favourite shots of this adorable pup Ryder (hes quite the poser for the camera !!) He and his parents, Liv and Matt make the cutest little family and I had a blast hanging with them at the beach ! Here is Ryders story :) Ryder was a victim of Breed Specific Legislation in Ontario. He was found and brought to the pound where he could have ended up with a very bleak future had he not been saved by the amazing founders of Ador-A-Bull Dog Rescue. He was put in an awesome foster home where he got to spend time with an amazing family. Matthew and I, after buying our first home, knew we wanted a dog. For as long as I can remember I have loved the bully breeds and knew that I wanted to adopt a pit bull. We contacted ADR and after conversing back and forth with Emily, one of the founders, she said she was pretty sure she had the perfect dog for us. A few weeks later Ryder was driven to Nova Scotia and has been the love of our lives ever since! We chose to adopt because of the scary amount of animals that end up in shelters. More specifically, we decided to adopt a pit bull from Ontario because of BSL. Because of these ridiculous legislations tons of great family dogs are being ripped from there homes to be placed in pounds, or end up with an even worse fate. We know we cant save them all but we are glad we were able to save our boy. Ryder is the love of my life. Hes my best friend and my soulmate. I honestly have no clue what I would do without him. Whenever Im with him hes always right by my side, either curled up under the blanket with me or snoring on the couch while I watch tv. He may not be able to talk to me but I know hes always there for me. Sometimes I think he understands me more than I give him credit for. He truly is an amazing dog and I honestly believe he was meant to be ours. Ryder has not only changed our lives, but hes helped to change a lot of peoples opinions about his breed. He is so loving that even people who believe the lies about pit bulls fall in love with him. He has really helped a lot of people understand how amazing these dogs are and I am so proud of him for that. Ryder is a lot of things: a goof ball, a kisser (he LOVES giving kisses and will even do it on command), a butt wiggler (you havent seen a happy dog until youve seen a Pit Bull Butt Wiggle), an annoying younger brother (if you were to ask the cats), a snuggler, a snorer and a covers hog. But most importantly, hes my sidekick and best friend.
