Last night was the 1st time since Rogan was a teeny tiny baby that she snuggled me through the night! It was glorious. I could kiss her on and off. It reminded me that I might have been miss lead. When Rogan was a little baby, I bought into the idea that a baby shouldnt get use to sleeping with their parents. She transitioned like a champ at 2 months. Around 9 months we bought into another idea, that self soothing thru sleep training was best to get her to sleep with out rocking her, sing and trying to transfer a lightly sleeping baby for hours some nights. Now it worked, but it worked a little too good. Now that I know more, I understand how damaging that can be. I also understand I should have cherished those moments of her clinging to me instead of sleep. She just didnt want to miss one second of mama or daddy love so much she would rather never sleep again... I guess you live and you learn. We all mess up. I am just so grateful that she is so awesome and so loving. I am so grateful that she is happy and well rounded and that she might possibly make this a new habit! :)
