Last night was the last time in my old home as a family of four. Everything is packed and moved except for my bedroom set and clothes. Chad moved to the new house a few days ago. He loves it and has told me several times. It makes me happy to know he is settling in. Alec and I will be completely moved in today. I dont think its hit Alec yet as he is the closest to his dad. My sister and I have decided to share the responsibility of my dads care. We have a hospital bed in the dining room which we will close off to be his bedroom and we are turning the main floor bath into a Handicap bathroom with shower. Im excited for my dad to move in. Although hes not the big strong dad I once knew, I feel like a little girl again who needs her dad. That small amount of security I have left. Im looking forward to morning conversation with my sister. Sitting on the front porch with my dad and seeing the innocence and surprises of my 2 year old niece. My boys have taken on the roll of the men of the house, Im a little frightened of my new adventure. But Im happy that I can once again have my original family back in my life. It will be good to have their support while I heal. This will be my last vent about my crazy year. Time to move on.... Wow! Feels good to get that off my chest! Cheers to new beginnings 🍻
